|Breathing apparatus is highly specialised equipment and potential wearers must be adequately trained to comply with HSE Respiratory protection guidelines and BS EN 529: 2005 Respiratory Protective Devices and meet the requirements of the National Occupational Standards for confined space entries (City & Guilds 6150). |This course is designed for students who are members of an emergency response team or service requiring the use of breathing apparatus.|
|This Breathing Apparatus (BA) course is designed to assist employees in understanding the characteristics, hazards and legislation required to safely operate breathing apparatus.
The course consists of a blend of both theoretical and practical instruction.
The course will cover legislative requirements, operational characteristics of BA, prestart checks, donning procedures, control procedures, and post use maintenance of all equipment.
