Thames Water EDM Year 5 Case Study
Enviromontel were awarded the contract to deliver Thames Waters AMP6 year 5 EDM programme at a contract value of Circa £1.3m. To delivery this it involved being appointed as Principal Contractor and trusted to project managing the entire process. The majority of the EDM sites were those located in and around Central London and consisted of difficult and hazardous installs within Trunk Sewers, Pump Stations and Sewage Treatment Works where complex planning was required.
A number of the sites also required an element of minor civils to build tanks, install boundary boxes and divert flows which Enviromontel successfully managed on behalf of the client.
Using Enviromontel’s directly employed installation technicians and standby rescue teams, each site was successfully installed to Thames Water’s specification and the programme deadlines achieved.
Along with achieving the objective of completing the installs, Enviromontel were also able to add additional value to Thames Water using Enviromontel’s automated workforce platform. From this Thames Water were able to access data and information faster than they had been able to previously and share install information with the wider supply chain which helped drive a more collective and collaborative approach and allow sites to be handed over to Thames Water Operations much more quickly than before.
